I really try. I usually find something to like even in songs I don't like very much, but this is not something I would ever listen to on purpose.

Written for the pop charts. Which is NEVER what this band used to stand for.
It's like a blend of Timberlake's Sexy Back with a bland Coldplay single.
Come on, Serge, FFS.

The video really gives off an impression that Serge's ego has reached an outer space now. This is really sad. How obsessed I was about this band 10-12 years ago, how bored of them I am now, just wow.

Why don't he just become a DJ and finish this kind of 'rock & roll band' thing, as if there's left any rock & roll in it.

Why don't he just become a DJ and finish this kind of 'rock & roll band' thing, as if there's left any rock & roll in it. Funny you say that, I've just read the NME article with him where he questions what kind of band they are and if they are a rock band. I think it's safe to say that they're not that any longer. If you ask me, that's cause enough to change the band's name, because this ain't the Kasabian I fell in love with in 2003.

For what it's worth, they were never just a rock band, they always had major electronic influences. I'm sure if you could go back to 2004 and play them this song they'd be into it. What I always liked about them was how versatile they were, how they took inspiration from lots of different genres and made something unique that set them apart from their contemporaries.
Still holding out hope for the album but I'm feeling pretty heartbroken today. And I don't want to sound entitled, I'm not demanding they do something different. They obviously want to do this. I'm just sad that I don't enjoy it anymore.

I'm just sad that I don't enjoy it anymore. I always thought the description of being a 'futuristic rock band' was very fitting back in the day. I agree on them grabbing bits and pieces of other genres. I was drawn to them in 2003/04 as the first album had influences of Can and Tangerine Dream, which I was brought up on by my old man. I know they've never been a 'conventional' rock band per se, but they certainly had that power and swagger. It just feels like they're becoming also-rans and what's the point of that? I agree, I'm equally as sad/bitter that I don't enjoy their music anymore. The whole thing sucks, really.

Been listening to this the whole day. I didn't think this was the band that I followed nor The SLP. It reminded me of Faithless and it's too trendy. But I've finally got it after carefully listening to some bits that have Kasabian elements on it. Funny thing is, the last time I didn't get their song was when Vlad came out, I didn't enjoy it but now it seems like a must tune to go mental. I don't wanna sound licking their arse but I believe people with potentially change their minds when they hear it live.

Meh I don’t mind it but it’s pretty underwhelming compared to other lead singles. Serges voice just doesn’t cut it for me. Good video though
