I didn't even know where to put this. Is this a new era? New album? One off single? Visually it's very different. I was half expecting a deluxe edition of Alchemist sometime this summer but that doesn't seem to be the case.
The next gig is on the 16th, I wonder if they'll play it.

I just took a look at their website. I think this coulr be the start of new era of the band. No more cypher and AE related. It's now more white and blue. Could this be similar to FCOL when they put the title on the stage at King Power?

I agree pistolsatdawn, they don't usually redesign the website or change anything visually unless it's a whole new era. I can see them kind of wanting to prove themselves at this point and quickly releasing another album. They also had a long break, maybe they were inspired and new music just happened. |

What do you guys think? I think it sounds like straight from FCOL. I know it's a crowd pleaser with summer vibes and all but it's way too simple in my opinion but it'd probably grow on me the more I listen.

Given it a listen a few more times. I think that's enough for me. 'Simple' is a really good way to describe it. Very bland and safe. Everything Kasabian never used to be... *sigh*

Been listening to Algorithms since it came out and I enjoy it. Yes, it's simple and it doesn't have sonic sound that Kasabian used to have but I take it as some kind of celebration as they released AE a year before that got slandered cos they left *rock* element that people expected. |
