I don’t know what to think tbh.
I can see how he thinks Serge wanted the limelight. The FCOL tour was strange to me because it felt like Tom went over to Serge more than usual while performing. It felt weird. At the time, I believed it was down to the anxiety of performing, but who knows.
I would like to know while Serge and the band stayed in separate accommodation. Could they not stand Tom or was it something malicious? I would guess the former but we’ll never really know.
I can see how the anxiety of being forced out of the band would lead to drinking but I don’t like how that is being linked to what happened with his wife.
As a side point, Tom looks a lot healthier since stopping drinking/drugs. Looking back, his face was so bloated at times. I remember during FCOL he lost a load of weight and then put in back on really quickly - clearly wasn’t well.

It’s all a bit strange and I don’t know what to make of it either. With the band staying in different accommodation maybe it was because of Toms addiction issues ? We will never know .He hasn’t been well for a long time ,when I saw them at Brixton pre 2013 he wasn’t well then his behaviour was bizarre,he can’t keep blaming other people for his mistakes. They were such a tight band then and even at the o2 arena gigs Serge and him still had a tight bond.He still doesn’t seem well he looks so gaunt and fragile. With this gagging order did he say when this was ? It’s coming across he is bitter and strange he still calls them his brothers.

I've just watched the video and wow. I'm curious when the band made Tom sign himself out. Was it post FCOL? I mean they were supposed to do Summer Solstice II couple years ago, so I thought up to that point, they were fine. There was a gap there I couldn't figure out.
Could it be the same case with Karloff that the band signed himself out? Since he didn't talk much about since he left.
About Tom's exclution, I believe the band had had enough of him. He also said that he got fired by email. Serge and Chris said on interview, they had a meeting which wasn't taken well by Tom's side.
This is what I'm afraid of when what was behind the screen came out. I wanna move on from these things but I'm just too curious.

The notion of Serge, or the band as a whole, wanting to 'force' Tom out just doesn't feel right to me.
I can't believe Serge would ever think a Kasabian led by him would ever be better than with Tom. Unless, behind the scenes, Tom's addictions and behaviour was so bad that it was becoming terminally toxic for the band's existence.
I feel the interviewer kind of led/encouraged Tom down a more and more bitter narrative in that interview.
I just wish they'd all shut up now. It'll be he said/she said forever more. Both sides need to move on with dignity.

There's a man in denial, if ever I saw one. Totally brushing over and down-playing the effect his years of addiction had on the band, culminating with him ending up in court. They gave him chances and tried to help him, and still his disruptive behaviour continued; I wouldn't expect to remain in employment if I behaved in that manner.
If he participated in this interview to try and endear himself to those of us who were disgusted by his behaviour, all it has done for me is prove he has no sense of accountability.

This is all very confusing, but I have a feeling he is actually telling the truth. The old frontman envy phenomenon and love-hate relationship that has been seen so many times before. Of course he had his addiction and ADHD that must have caused problems for himself and the band over the years, but probably he just didn’t get the support he needed from the management/other band members. We have seen how their social media was basically all about Serge and how Serge spent more and more time in the spotlight. I can see how all this combined to his anxiety in lockdown lead to the incident with his wife, which was a perfect chance to ”get rid of him”. And whatever happened to Chris Karloff, I have a feeling they made him sign himself out of the band, too. Tom and Serge always looked like brothers on stage. Old friends having fun and going on with the band till the day they die, but true friends don’t throw you under the bus like this. That’s why I find it really strange he still calls them his brothers.
