The outfits and typography are so Aitor, aren't they? I just looked at his socials, he hasn't shared anything Kasabian related since January 2020. I think he would have if he had designed any of it, he's not usually quiet about his involvement.

What's the general deal with singles coming out on physical media these days?
Could we expect anything for the single (seems not)?

What's the general deal with singles coming out on physical media these days? Could we expect anything for the single (seems not)? We only had two physical singles from FCOL and they were both limited releases, YILWAP/AYLFA for Record Store Day and Comeback Kid/Good Fight as an HMV exclusive. Maybe there will be something in the future, there are currently major delays in vinyl production anyway, even if they're planning to release something it might not be ready. They might prioritise the album vinyl if they're doing multiple formats again like last time.

Second clip has me changing my tune a little bit. This is either gonna be mad brilliant or mad stupid. I seriously can't tell now. Tomorrow's the day we find out and I'm equally nervous and excited.
Does anyone know what time the song is getting released tomorrow?

Does anyone know what time the song is getting released tomorrow? It should be midnight wherever you are. That's how it usually works. It's very rare that things are released at the same time globally, high profile artists (like Taylor Swift) do it sometimes to prevent leaks. However, Alygatyr came out at midnight UK time. So we'll have to see.

The song is out in the world guys! I’ve heard most of it although my link is dodge and keeps crashing. It seems as though the YouTube link has gone live for people in time zones where it’s already midnight.
The 2 clips we heard are the beginning of the song, in that order. I’m reserving judgement on the rest of it until I’ve heard it in full with no buffering!

I live on the other side of the planet so it's midnight here. I've been listening to Scriptvre right now for a few times. It's soooo futuristic just like the album cover. It's got dope beat, strings, great sound, vocoder (again!) but the chorus isn't strong in Kasabian's standard if I may say but I can see there's connection to Alygatyr. One thing for sure is it's a grower. I'm afraid someone's army will say it's too S.L.P but I'm excited with the new direction anyways.

The strings are beautiful!!

I find the comparisons to The SLP annoying. The SLP was mainly built off samples and it was obvious there wasn't much live instrumentation in the tracks. Both Alygatyr and the snippets of Scriptvre are loaded with live instrumentation and that Kasabian energy. The only reason most people claim the new stuff "sounds like The SLP" is because it's Serge doing the lead vocals.
Is it different? Yes? Is it for everyone? No. Is it unmistakably Kasabian? Oh hell yes it is.

Just listened for the first time all the way through, then watched the video. I think I like it, but it’s intrigued me more than anything….if this is the lead single (which would normally be the most commercial type song) then fucking hell this album could be a real trip! It doesn’t even really have a proper chorus? I think it will be a real grower, I’m looking forward to listening to it more. The video I liked but the Tom sympathisers will have a field day with it.

I like it and all of it’s layers but will it be a song that i will be enjoying in a couple of years time? There’s no doubt that this will be going to sound huge live and I can’t compare it to The SLP as I haven’t even heard any of it .There’s a different video on Apple Music.

I'm anxiously awaiting the full release in the states. I heard the minute long preview on apple music though - and it sounded wild! The comments here and on reddit have me so stoked for midnight. My favorite Kasabian is the more experimental days of Empire through Velociraptor! so my hopes are already sky high for Scriptvre and AE in general.

Well the comments were right - what a crazy song! Such an interesting choice for first single. This, combined with the album release date is giving me serious Velociraptor! "let the art speak for itself" type vibes where it was a little more of a grower instead of instant banger after instant banger. It also reminds me of that song itself, where it's like the band is daring itself to fit in as much different music in as short a time as they can and make it flow. Also definitely got some Switchblade Smiles energy. I love it and I am beyond excited for The Alchemist's Euphoria!
I also think Alygatyr is gonna play better in context of the album, cause this song proved they're probably gonna be covering a lot of ground in 12 tracks
