Someone keeps uploading fake "leaked" Kasabian songs on YouTube, pretending to be various official-looking accounts. If you click on it it turns out to be a different song by a different band. One account was already suspended last night, but there's a new one now, made up to look like an official Kasabian account. Just a heads up because I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the songs posted yesterday. If you come across more of them you can report them for having a misleading description.

Even though it would be bloody hard I wouldn't listen if it was leaked ,it just takes away some of the excitement .And when Opposites leaked I didn't give in to the temptation so least I know I'd be able to hold out for the new album.Just hope it will get delivered prior to release day though.

I wish I had your willpower, but generally if I have the album pre-ordered in four different formats and then it leaks two weeks prior to the release, I just want to hear it. I think it's morally wrong if something leaks that is unfinished and was stolen from the artist. But by the time the release date comes around the band has been sitting on the finished product for about six months and journalists have had promo copies for three months, so if I'm going to buy it anyway, why shouldn't I listen to it a few days early. Of course there are the purists who think they hear a massive difference between 192 and 320kbps and absolutely must listen to the CD and nothing else, but that's not really important to me when I'm faced with the option of either listening to an album I've been longing for for years, or not.

I used to be like that, had to listen to all my music as soon as it came out, could never wait etc, always downloaded the leaks. However as i've grown older i've moved away from that, and now the buzz I get off listening to new music is when I sit down and pop that record on my turntable for the first time and let the music speak to me that way, and now I never go near any leaks for any of my music, I like it that I do it that way now. I think what helps is that I listen to way more music and bands/artists compared to 10/15 years ago, so i've always got something new to listen to on a regular basis.

I don't listen to any other bands' leaks, I don't care enough about anyone, it's only Kasabian. If I see that someone else's album leaked I'll make a mental note and wait until it's on Spotify, and on the rare occasion that I'm excited enough to listen to it before I only do it if I'm definitely planning to buy the album. But this wasn't about leaks in general but about the fact that someone keeps uploading misleading videos and despite reporting all of them, and lots being taken down, they keep making new accounts.

I was a bit surprised to see them. Some had those ads to download a song via iTunes or something. Just to get views and advertisement. Some videos had the interview parts written below, which compensates time wasted to look at them, a bit.
