Will be flying into LA for this show, if anyone is interested in a meet up before.

Now that I'm back home at my computer, a quick review of the show. Sounded fantastic, as expected! I love Kasabian gigs, not just because of the energy of the band, but because of the energy of the audience. I'd say LA brought it last night. We were seated in the balcony, and I'd say about half were standing through the show. You usually don't see that. As noted on the other thread, the guys were in their all white outfits, same as the James Corden show, with Serge's hand-painted tees as seen in the most recent IG posts here and here. Looks like my set list above was right, according to IG post here. I'd say the crowd responded really well to the new FCOL songs, which I think made the band happy. After Bless This Acid House, Serge put his guitar down, went to the front of the stage and cheered to the crowd. They also did the extended interlude during treat, with Serge dancing and jumping down from the stage. He didn't stay behind the barricades this time and started winding his way through the crowd. Unfortunately, being in the balcony, I lost sight of him after a while. I can't remember the song now where they tell people to get down on the floor as the music goes low and then jump? They did that again, and Serge antagonized people a bit, saying "You in the back, get down! Don't try to be cool. We don't care. Get down." I feel pretty lucky to have heard both Shoot The Runner and Empire at this show! Brought back old memories. And the Nirvana cover was great, too. As much as they are limiting touring in the States, I think they still wish they could crack the US market. At one point Serge said "Tell your friends we're alright." or something like that. After the show we waited around the back by the exit to try to see the guys. A little disappointed, so I'm hoping things go better tonight. Apparently Tom left right after the show, or so said someone else who was already there at the gate. As I look online, I only see 1 fan photo from Toronto post-show with Tom. Maybe he's just doing things differently these days, but I've always chatted with him in the past. We waited about 2 hours, then Serge, Chris, and Ben walked out the opposite side to the front. Did not see Ian or Tim leave. People ran after them and a few did get some photos or autographs. They honestly didn't stop much and kind of kept walking to a car that was waiting for them. Oh, well! You never know what their schedules are with these sorts of things, so wish me better luck tonight!

It can be a bit tricky meeting Tom, in my experience he's usually not up for a chat after a gig. Or maybe he would be for a chat but not so much for 50 people jumping on him for a selfie, I don't know. The last time I talked to him properly he was the last one to leave the venue and we hung around for ages. Unfortunately the bigger they get the more people want to meet them and the messier it gets. Tim is the easiest, he comes out to talk to the queue in the afternoon a lot, which is lovely. Also anyone who isn't Tom and Serge is a bit easier to have an actual conversation with because a lot of people don't really care about them - sad for them, convenient for us. But as you said, we never really know where they have to be, sometimes they're in a hurry and just disappear, or they're tired.
