I went there yesterday, but it was not easy. I had an accident a few months back and I'm still far from whole again and had to cancel all my autumn concerts I was so much looking forward to! But, as I started to work again, at least part time, I thought, well, it's Kasabian, KASABIAN, that finally came here, I cannot miss them, can I? I had a standing ticket, of course, seating would have been easier. I thought standing totally at the side, near the entrance, should be more or less save, as I know the Gasometer pretty good. Well, it used to be! I still was bumped into constantly, never had that at any concert when I stand at the very side! That was the rudest bunch of co-fans I have ever seen at a concert and I had to leave during LSF, but that was the plan anyway, as I had to get out before the crowd and find a cab.
Still, even with all that I massively enjoyed that! I saw way more, at least of dear Tom, than a few years back in Munich in that not really ideal concert hall, so that was good. And, of course, the music. Was all good, but I was very happy to get my beloved Empire, Wasted (yessie yes!), Stevie, Underdog, Ill Ray ...
So, hopefully I'll be whole one day and get another chance where I can really enjoy it and get loose again!

On and off, they played it in Germany but in Italy they dropped it for Man of Simple Pleasures, rather randomly.

Ah well, have not forgotten how in Munich 2014 I got that lovely "Switchblade Smiles" surprise, so I don't hold a grudge. If they'd played that yesterday, I'd be back in hospital today!

Glad you mostly enjoyed the concert. It sounds like some of these current venues are a bit scary with the crowd going a bit too mad!!! As you say, standing near the exit is normally quite a ‘safe’ place!!!
