For media snippets that don't really deserve/require a whole thread. Apologies in advance if such a thread already exists, I couldn't find one.

From today's Popbitch newsletter:
>> Sweet charity << Kasabian to the rescue There's a new set of Cancer Research ads on TV at the minute with Kasabian as the soundtrack. It's the same song that has been featured on Cancer Research's ads for many, many years now. So is someone at CRUK a big Kasabian fan? Nope. Not particularly. The main reason they keep using that same Kasabian song is because the band granted Cancer Research permission to use it for as long as they wanted. For free.

In Q 9/16, the goodbye column by editor Matt Mason:
"... Q will also live on in my children. Both attended a Q Awards while they were still incubating inside their mother. As a large lump in his mum's tummy, my oldest - a hyperactive chatterbox - was greeted with a warm, "Hello, mate" from Kasabian's Tom Meighan. When my gentle, good-natured youngest was a bump, he received an effectionate rub from Chris Martin. There is an absolute correlation between each child's personality and the pop star who blessed them. And it's absolutely not a coincidence. ..." P. 6
Interesting theory!

Tom Meighan has a very small cameo in Liam Gallagher's latest video.

I wasn't sure where to post this but someone in JK Rowling's latest Cormoran Strike book Lethal White listens to Cutt Off. I'm trying not to take it personally that it's not a very nice character.

Kasabian were briefly mentioned in an episode of the podcast No Such Thing As a Fish. I knew one of the hosts (James) likes them because he once tweeted that he was at a gig. Their Patreon is called Club Fish and then someone said Club Foot and James was like "that's a Kasabian song" and Andy was like "it's a great song" which pleases me.
