That's interesting. Do you know why they're being reissued? I still see the original Japanense edition everywhere, so it's not like you can't get it anymore.

Well, I know that Japanese companies reissue some stuff regularly, how regularly - don't know. Usually reissues have different OBI from the original, different cat.number, etc. For example, Madonna's album Ray Of Light was reissued quite often during 16 years: 22 Feb 1998 - >original CD<25 Oct 1998 - >reissued CD<23 Aug 2006 - >reissued CD<23 Jun 2010 - >reissued CD<24 Jun 2015 - >reissued CD<
So that might be just the beginning for Kasabian
