For all your random Kasabian thoughts which don't belong to a specific thread. My own random Kasabian thought of the day -I was looking at the Cutt Off single which has 2 b-sides, a remix, a super gorgeous cover, and a live acoustic performance, and I got very nostalgic about all the old singles because now we're lucky to get just a vinyl (and a paradise number) and consider ourselves spoiled rotten if there is a b-side. I can't get over the fact that an electronic album like 48:13 didn't get a single remix

Kasabian received Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Award today (Royal Albert Hall Best Group). It's a great charity, it's nice they are supporting it and are appreciated. Lots of pics here on empire. Apparently Primal Scream were there and Serge said some nice things about them, so expect another 20 years of comparisons.

Not a bad comparison though as they have loads of top tunes.

Unless my memory wrongs me, Kasabian has been compared to Primal Scream quite a lot when they first broke through in 2004.

My son is at a half-term music camp at Roundhouse, I got very nostalgic today dropping him off today because of this - it happened exactly 9 years ago

I have no idea where to put this! I came across "Big school", 2nd series, a pretty funny show about a quite crazy school with Philip Glenister (love him!), David Walliams and Catherine Tate. In the latest episode I saw they had a visit from the control board and of course it did not go well. The music teacher proudly told them that he does not bother with boring stuff, but f.ex. teaches his pupils about the "5th greatest current rock band in England", Kasabian and they could answer all the questions about them. Nice! Unfortunately he did not tell us who are no.s 1 to 4.

It was so quick, I remember a question about the guitarist, Serge, and about the first hit, Club Foot. I'm not sure if the answers were actually right, but I found it nice. They could have used anybody else, so maybe the writer is a fan, who knows!
