So this is currently the last gig of the tour! I wonder if they might play some one-offs towards the end of the year, like in 2012, or if this is it. I gathered they're quite eager to get back into the studio.

The lineup for Saturday is great(Kasabian, Jungle, Blood Red Shoes, Hot Chip, Tame Impala)
The Swiss crowd has always been shit no matter which band I've seen there, from Guns 'n Roses to Green Day). Paris would have been better for the last gig but who actually cares ... ok I do a bit.
The gigs end of 2012 were around the Russian date I think? Brussels on the way back from Moscow.

2015's got to be their oddest touring year yet. Full of wee bursts of gigs and then one date in a week here and there with no acoustic sessions to pad it out.

Comparable with 2013 a bit. 2013 had some highlights with Royal Albert Hall, Hard Rock Calling and my personal favourites Duomo Milan and Bridlington. I think 2015 will be done after Zurich.

As far I know they hadn't planned to play that much in 2013 originally, only special things (aka the "year off" that lead to Jay making questionable life choices) - which was probably TCT and Snowbombing inititally? - but of course they're not the types to sit at home for months, so it got more and more, with a warm up for each gig... I have a feeling there would have been more this year if Serge wasn't recording already.

I actually thought 2015 would much fuller, surely the 48:13 tour was the shortest out of all the album tours? On second thought, maybe West Ryder was even shorter.

I don't have a number ( stannis probably knows) but the West Ryder tour started early in March 2009, and then they still played lots in 2010, Europe and Australia. This year is basically just the few American gigs and the summer festivals, it definitely seems like the shortest second year of a tour. I was really hoping for a few more European dates, but if they're working on the next album already, by all means go ahead.

Shortest album year full-stop actually. If they don't add any more dates, they'll end the year on 30 performances in all. To put that in perspective, the previous album tour record in a calendar year was 62 in 2010. 30 is closer to the off years of 2008 and 2013. Seeing "album six" titled on another thread felt weird. Six already. The last two albums have flown in a little. Time's a weird one to process sometimes.

So what are the predictions on Serge's shirt today? He should bring back the one saying 48:13. Or a pink one.
