Inspired by the NME list, what are your top 10 tracks by the band?
They can just be a top 10 or you can put them in order if you're able to.
Give reasons too if you want as to why they feature in your top 10.

Here are my top 10 songs in no particular order (like highroyds mentioned in the other thread, they're not necessarily my top 10 favourites). The Doberman Switchblade Smiles La Fee Verte, Treat Processed Beats Fast Fuse Mothman Underdog Ovary Stripe Thick As Thieves. I really wanted to include Vlad, Club Foot, Take Aim, Let's Roll and SPS too

I will do this in two parts. Here is part 1
Club Foot - it's the song that introduces you to Kasabian on their debut and sets the tone. It's full of swagger and instantly gets you hooked
Switchblade Smiles - the best song they've done since their debut, in fact, it wouldn't be out of place on Kasabian. The song has a massive sound and I'd love to hear more songs in style of this
Where Did All the Love Go? - I love the psychedelic sound to this and think the band could do more psychedelic songs. It's a kind of hippy song and has one of the best changes to any of their songs as sound goes in a different direction
Shoot the Runner - I'm not sure if it is one of their best but it is special to me. It id first song that my wife and me danced to on our first date. I love the video too
Test Transmission - I like when Serge does vocals and this is one of the best songs they've made that isn't a single. I've only heard it a couple of times live and would love to hear it again. The lyrics are a bit crazy but that's part of the greatness of the song

I'm afraid I cannot really give a reason for the choices, it's purely emotional and from the top of my head:
Empire Where did all the love go Fast fuse Take aim Last trip (in flight) Pistols at dawn Processed beats Switchblade Smiles 55 Narcotic Farm
Sorry 48:13! Among others I had to surgically remove f.ex. Acid turkish bath, to make room for Processed beats and when push comes to shove, I'd prefer to have one more Tom song and I could not live with myself removing Take aim or Narcotic Farm. That's also the reason I chose 55 over The Nightworkers. And I'd really love to have a non-album tracks compilation one day!

Well, i guess the problem of objective judgement is that objectivity is also partly subjective. Kasabian is one of the band who have only HQ songs, and fan's judgement is lead by our perception and song's "mood". So generally it is pointless discussion, but it is interesting, so here is my revised version of top 10.
10. I.D. 9. Stevie 8. West Ryder Silver Bullit 7. 55 6. Switchblade Smiles 5. Take Aim 4. Ovary Stripe 3. The Doberman 2. Treat 1. Fire

Note able mentions : I.D. Fire, Pinch Roller (as an extension of Cutt Off as much as anything), Empire, Where, Did All the Love Go?

My other five
Reason is Treason - it's in your face and brings out the psychotic mind in you. Basically it makes you lose control a bit. It has a violent feel to it
Cutt Off - from the opening line, I'm hooked as my name is mentioned. It has a slight psychedelic feel to it and features some of my favourite Kasabian lyrics
Vlad the Impaler - it has an energy to it that makes you want to jump about like a loon and 'get loose'. I like that. Cool video
Fire - The first time I heard it was in a hotel in London. It was the first time it had been played on tv. I later heard it live at Camden Crawl which was great. The video is superb and I like the vibe to the tune. It has a cowboys and Indians vibe to it.
Stevie - I wasn't that impressed when I heard this for first time. I preferred Eez-eh. Stevie has substance though, I love the strings in it and the message in the song. I also hear it often cause of Fifa.
