Well. if there one thing I am a sucker for is demos, always I like to see what has preceded the songs we know and love. So are there any good demos out there? I know about the bunch of demos from the Saracuse days, and also about the remixes of Reason is Treason and Processed Beats. But are there any other out there? Especially from the 2002-05 era, I'd really like to hear what was there before the debut album and Empire. Thanks.

Not really. I don't think their demos are too different from the finished songs because of the way Serge works, the only thing that's probably noticeably different are the vocals. If you compare the two songs on the Fast Fuse EP, which were done only by Serge, to the album versions, which are obviously produced by Dan, it's minimal. I'd love to have some demos as b-sides, but they would probably sound more like the Goodbye Kiss snippet that's around, with Serge just mumbling random words, probably from before he had finished the lyrics.

Not strictly a demo, but the only other thing I can think of is Cutt Off NME version which was released in 2003. It's very different from the final album and single versions.

I think some of the early songs are actually demos, like Beneficial Herbs, Sand Clit, Trash Can, Bang, Pan Am Slit Scam, maybe The Duke and some other. I believe i also have mp3 of Ovary Stripe sample somewhere. It is entitled as "sample version", but sounds like demo to me.

Beneficial Herbs is clearly labelled as a demo in the tracklisting, if they all are why wouldn't the others be? The Ovary Stripe samples versions is called that because they used samples in it.

Well, to be precise, my whole theory about those songs possibly being demos is based on someone's comment on The Duke - "I really like their early demos". Not exactly a relible source, i know, but there are politians who started wars, and scientists who wrote books on less substantial evidence than this;)

I once saw a comment saying Serge has an Italian accent.

I once saw a comment saying Serge has an Italian accent. Could it be they saw Serge making a joke? I think he did something like that on a comedy show you posted before, saying "my name is Darren" in one of the british accents. At least i think so, i am not so good in accents and english is not my mother tong;) I wonder if Serge can speak italian at all by the way?

I meant that just because one uninformed person on the internet thinks The Duke is a demo/Serge was born in Italy doesn't mean it's true. He's said lots of times that he can't speak Italian but he understands a bit.

Yes, i know. I do not take that one comment too seriousely, but it just confirmed my thoughts about those early songs at the time. As far as i know some of those tracks were written when Kasabian were looking for label yet. So they were also meant as demos, but still recorded in professional studio of course. It is not a strict definition of demo, i do realise it as well, but close to it.
I also beleive their actual demos are not very different from the end product, but i doubt that Sergio will be keen to make a record of them, because he wants people to hear the finished result, and not the work in progress. But... it would be interesting to hear them if they ever leak or something.
