Unless there are some other credits I'm not aware of. But there is nothing about him in the album sleeves of any edition, except his co-writing credits of course, and he did leave the band before they went to Rockfield.

Ahhh, must have been a bloody mistake on Wikipedia! Cheers for that. (Wouldn't that put the split just after they finished the tour for the debut?)

It must have been around the end of the year. He made off to America, they wanted to start the next album, he had other plans, and that was it. It wasn't announced properly until July.

So I heard Beady Eye disbanded, and Jay should be regretting this, if he had left on his own, which looks like the more obvious case. He could've headlined Glastonbury, such a miss.
He didn't seem to contribute much on the albums to be honest, just made to sit there and do his part, maybe that made him want to go in new directions.
And then, to add to bits, I have massive respect for Karloff. The first album is near perfect, for me at least. You never know what it would have been if he had not left. Maybe they would be as big as Led Zeppelin, or maybe end up churning the same tunes, ending up being boring. Anyway, the band has still survived in a glorious manner.
As for Tim, he seems to get that extra credit given ladies find him adorable. That apart, you could see him working on the albums even before he was touring, like on Velociraptor! Inference, being made via the video The Story Of The Velociraptor! I find it awesome that he uses just one guitar throughout the gig, even local pub bands tend to use more. It seems to be the pedals which he uses, which brings me to the point of some latency created when using pedals, like you can hear the pedals going off and on sometimes, and I can assure it's not intended. Check the Glastonbury show, or the Jim Hollands stuff.

Maybe they would be as big as Led Zeppelin, or maybe end up churning the same tunes, ending up being boring. Anyway, the band has still survived in a glorious manner. It says in the book that Karloff very much wanted to stay with the more electronic sound of the first album, while Serge wanted to move on. I think it's most obvious in British Legion and The Doberman, because those couldn't possibly have been on the first album like that. Having heard the Black Onassis album, I personally think they wouldn't have progressed as much with him. As for Tim, he seems to get that extra credit given ladies find him adorable. That apart, you could see him working on the albums even before he was touring, like on Velociraptor! Inference, being made via the video The Story Of The Velociraptor! Extra credit from the band or the fans? His contributions to the band are a lot more than those of a mere touring guitarist, so it only makes sense that he's getting more credit. If you mean the fans or this poll specifically, I don't think he's popular because we all think he's cute. If I've stressed before that he's lovely, it's because two years ago I was very suspicious if they could ever find someone who will fit as well as Jay did, because I loved Jay and I thought it was such a perfect combination of people playing together, we might not get that lucky again with some new person, you know? Turns out Tim, on top of being a fantastic guitarist, is even better, which is in a way a massive relief. And also he's genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met.
