Seeing as Austria gets ignored, this looks like my best chance to finally see them. Does anybody know how it is with Kasabian in Germany selling out quickly or at all? Because, of course the presale starts, when I should be at work.

Should not be a problem to catch a ticket for Munich within the first few weeks. But don't wait too long.

Just got a newsletter saying Munich is sold out, but it seems like it's the only one.

I'm not sure at all, but judging from somebody's instagram tags, they played Running Battle and Fast Fuse today. Can't wait for dingo to come back and tell us about the gig Eta: doesn't seem to be true about running battle and fast fuse

That set list is a bit better. I still think it is short and don't see the need for the cover when they have so many of their own songs.
Shame to see so few songs from their debut which I still think is their best album.
I'll still enjoy their show in Glasgow when I see them but I guess we all have different songs we'd like to hear the band play live.

I'm back! In spite of German and Austrian Railways making the trip back a little bit nerve-wrecking, but never mind that! Please bear in mind that that was my first time seeing them live. For me it was utterly amazing, mind-blowing and very, very, very exhausting. In a good way. I usually keep to the back and/or side of such venues, because I never was one for being in the middle of the craziness. My circulation has the unfair habit of shutting down sometimes at such shows, so I need to being able to see my way out. Never stopped me from having a great time, thankfully. I did manage to find a good place on some kind of platform at the back, on the side, where, with a little bit of head-movement and squinting ("No kissing, god damn you, I'm watching Tom through the gap between your heads! OK, to the right what is Chris doing, right between those two pillars?" You get the picture!) The setlist posted on setlist.fm seems to be right. I had studied the previous ones, so "clouds" (yay!!!) and "Neon noon" were big surprises! I mean, personally I would have preferred "Take aim" to "Neon noon" because I love the former and unfortunately the latter still does nothing for me. But I see that we were honoured by having gotten such a rare song. I got so many of my personal favorites ("Where did all the love go", etc.), so any nitpicking would be petty. The band was in very high spirits, as were we. I'm not sure, but during "Processed Beats" (so lovely, my favorite off "Kasabian") I thought that Serge made Tom laugh while singing. "bow" sounded huuuge live and now, after having heard it live, I "get" "eez-eh". That song was written to be played live, oh yeah, especially the outro. After more great songs we entered the dangerous phase, "Switchblade Smiles" (I already had accepted that they had dropped that so that was another nice surprise) followed by my beloved "Empire" followed by "Fire" nearly finished me! I have been to a few shows in my life but never ever did I lose it (got loose?) like that. Never. I guess that was a first that the band returned too soon for me, because I still would have needed a few minutes to catch my breath! Still, with "Stevie", "Vlad" and "LSF", no complaints! Nothing against "Fire", but I'm happy that we got "LSF" as the last one. I would not say it was the best show I've ever been to, because you cannot really compare it with totally different artists, but it was the one where for the first time I did not recognise myself anymore because I was so caught up in it. It was just brilliant. I'll happily make that trip again one day, but, please boys, please, Vienna is such a nice city!!!

It sounds great dingo, thanks for sharing with us! You got an amazing setlist there. I have to say I was thinking that starting from SBS the setlist did look dangerous too, all the big songs - Stevie is the only relatively quiet one there. How was Clouds? So lucky to get to hear it! Did they do the little gasp like on the album version? Did they try to do the little singalong during Bumblebeee again? And yes, I'm all for Vienna gigs too, one of the most special Kasabian gigs i've been to was there
