I am really tempted by this. What is the venue like? And what are German fans/audiences/shows like? Anyone else going?

The venue is big for Kasabian-in-Germany, 3,500 capacity. It's the same one where they cancelled in 2012, so we were there twice in a row, the first time staff was really organised, put up barriers for the queue, was there for people to ask questions. The second time not a single person showed up and then they opened one of three doors without warning at 7. There's a nice hotel only a minute walk down the road though. The sound inside could be better. As for German audiences, it depends on what you're into, really. I know lots of people find them boring and complain there aren't enough moshpits, but I've always enjoyed the atmosphere. It doesn't get too rough. The rescheduled gig in June 2012 was a really special one, some of my favourite gigs have been German ones. I guess mostly because it's a bit more relaxed than in the UK. I can't rank gigs by the quality of the music because that's always perfect to me, so I tend to go by things like how horrible was the queue, how badly was I beat up at the barrier... I've been told by the band themselves that Germany is a bit weird because the reception at the gigs is so amazing but then the festivals are like, meh. Although Hurricane 2011 was fantastic.

It was even more amazing than Bremen. They played Bow, which was completely gorgeous of course. Slightly different, again.
We asked them about Neon Noon in Bremen after hearing the soundcheck and they told us it's not quite ready yet, but we have rather painful memories of Happiness in 2011. They soundchecked it at our gig and then played it somewhere else and never again. So we told them we're only doing these two gigs and Brixton, and then they did play it, which was very very special. It's quite big. Not like Club Foot big, but Tim is doing all kinds of beautiful things and both he and Ben are singing on it.
Serge's t-shirt said upholsterer. Re-wired had Word Up. Jack Bruce was mentioned twice in Vlad. Bumblebeee was the opener again, with Shiva as an intro, the proper long album version and not that one long sound, which I don't really consider to be Shiva. Stevie started the encore. LSF at the end is still the happiest thing ever.

Really hope it stays on the setlist for the rest of the tour. That's a brilliant live translation they've come up with.

I was telling exactly the same to highroyds about the live translation, each one of them was just shining on that song but still stayed sort of understated and not taking over. I thought it sounded perfect even though they were saying in Bremen that it's not 'fully baked yet'. Serge's voice, the drums and keyboards created such an atmosphere that when it seamlessly continued into Fire, i needed a few minutes to wake up and realise what's going on. Really hope they'll play it again (i gather they will, at least during the uk tour) and we'll have a pro recording at some point.

It's possibly the framing of the video that gave me this idea, but it would be cool if Tim came up front and stood alongside Serge for this one. It's a great showcase with the slide. No offense to the others, but it was a really cool visual to see Tim and Serge share the moment like that. As you said, we need a pro-shot. I don't have any idea of the texture of Tim's voice live yet, and this seems like a prime moment for them.

Ugh i was right in front of tim yesterday and it was beautiful to watch him playing and singing. It's incredible how much he brought to the band.
I'll try to convert the soundcheck vids into mp3s when i'm back home and upload if anybody is interested.

Might be a good bet to replace Empire.
