The first half of the gig was very enjoyable. Serge seems to feel more comfortable in his position as frontman compared to last year (also less jumping around). The second half of the gig they fell back into the old routine. Playing songs Serge can't really sing. Empire and Vlad were not good at all, Acid House a wasted song to start the Encore. Why not start the gig with the first two songs of AE and start the encore with Rocket Fuel?
I understand they need some classics which is okay but they definately should drop some: Empire, Vlad and STR don't feel right in the set. Drop Ill Ray and treat as well and replace them by new tunes or songs that Serge can sing better. Lots of room in the setlist if they finally let go. It kind of feels that the people going to their gigs accept the new situation whilst the band doesn't and continues the way they did which for me does not fit.
Still a fun night but far away from would it could be because it's not different and that's what it needs to be under the "new "circumstances.
Of course my subjective opinion but similar opinions all around me yesterday.

Nothing spectacular. Sound (and I think lighting) was gone twice for a few seconds.

I won’t be seeing them on this tour due to health reasons and looking at the setlist I’m afraid that I’m not really missing anything..I agree why acid house ,treat and a few others are still there? What about Take Aim ? One of the best songs and one sung by Serge it doesn’t make sense And La Fee Verte .

What about Take Aim ? One of the best songs and one sung by Serge it doesn’t make sense And La Fee Verte . I know right? There are so many others they never played. Explodes, All Through the Night, even Doomsday could be great because Tom never sang it live so there's no direct comparison. I feel like there was an opportunity to shake things up and they missed it.

There are fan favorites like Empire, Psycho, Vlad and Ill Ray. They just played 5 songs off new record. Since they usually play 16 or 17 songs, there are 3 songs for them to shake things up and surprise people that come to their gig. Explodes would be great, it could fit the space and electronic theme. La Fee Verte and All Through the Night feels too acoustic and I don't think would fit the bill. I hope they'll play Road Kill Cafe, Narc Farm and Beneficial Herbs that would fit Serge's voice. I kinda miss the band that shocked us by playing Julie & the Moth Man as an opener. It feels like this tour is the best chance for them to not play it safe unless they play festival. But hey maybe I'm too demanding.

I took a break from them when they done the King Power gigs as it was getting too predictable and now is the time to seize that opportunity to get back to what they were. The first time I saw Kasabian was when JATMM was played and wow ,I still remember everything about it .They have done quite a few gigs now and should shake it up or the fans who have still stuck by them may just dwindle off especially paying around £50 a ticket .Even though I’m not able to go to any gigs I would of loved to have seen a few more tracks of the new album played or it just seems like the gigs they done for the record stores.

When they announced the German dates I decided not to go for the first time ever, and then I spent months wondering whether I'll regret it or not. But the moment they moved all the gigs I was glad I didn't have a ticket. The thing is, I have really bad anxiety. Travelling to all these gigs was always torture. I'm proud I managed to do it, and it did help me overcome certain things to a certain extent (until it didn't) but I was always jealous of all the people who just ~couldn't wait~ because I was simply dreading it. Every second until the moment they walked on stage. I just loved seeing them so much that it seemed worth it. And what I'm seeing now, the videos we got, the setlist, it doesn't feel worth it anymore. I'm always going to love and support them but I don't think I'm going to go out of my way to see them live anymore. They should have come to Hamburg, we have so many small venues, we just don't really have the medium sized ones they thought they needed.
