It's... alright, not too bad neither is it truly special. Sounds like it could have been on the debut album to me. Definitely typical Kasabian style.

Has anyone seen this ALYGATYR Instagram filter? I have no idea if it's supposed to do something special, I didn't try it on my own face.

Well it was worth you trying so we got a dog photo cos she is soooo cute.
On a human, it just goes b/w and puts the ALYGATYR rune things across where your eyes would be. You can test the filter just using front facing camera without publishing to Stories, if that's any help.
I'll post a story using the filter on Tuesday when I'm looking a bit less of a mess, ha!

Oh yeah, the actual song. I dunno, sounds a bit generic but I'll hold judgement until I hear it live cos people have said they didn't get it until then.

Must be a bit annoying for the people who went to the first 9 gigs and didn't get to hear the new song.

I'm starting to think this song was written after Tom. Getting the full lyrics, it kinda seems to be a response to the fans upset about the band continuing on without him - and maybe even a little response to Tom himself. I don't know how that affects my opinion of the song, I just know I'm disappointed I was wrong about the hook being "Cry me a river to all the stars in the sky"

I just know I'm disappointed I was wrong about the hook being "Cry me a river to all the stars in the sky" I heard it like that as well. The lyrics on genius.com sound pretty accurate to me except for "smile like a navigator" I also thought it was "see you later" in there somewhere which would have been great because of see you later alligator. I'm not sure if it's about the situation. But it's possible he had some lyrics before (the verses that sound like they should be sung by Tom) and finished the song later, things slipped in. I was kind of getting more "living in a weird capitalist dystopia" vibes, which he has touched on before.

People are saying the album and single version are different, I don't really hear it, what exactly is different?

People are saying the album and single version are different, I don't really hear it, what exactly is different? It could just be my new speaker, but to me, it sounded a bit more cleaned up. Less "wall of sound" and more able to hear the individual components. I could be totally wrong though.

I just saw on Wikipedia that apparently Alygatyr is only different on physical formats, on streaming it's the same as the single version. I wonder if that was intentional.
