I don't think they'll bring out an album this year but they are due to bring out an EP. It's a Scottish band called Dictator who I reckon will end up being big

Been a big DCFC fan for almost 20 years. Their newest is a giant return to form and pairs quite well with the vibes of The Æ!

Queen Brandi Carlile released a deluxe edition of her latest album which means I can put it on this year's favourites playlist again and it's not cheating.

If you ever feel neglected by Kasabian, consider becoming a Taylor Swift fan. She has released 7 albums in the last 3 years.

The Car. Jesus H Christ. This post didn't age well. Why, not good? I'm sure there'll be those opinions that bands should rightly mature, and grow, and develop, and explore. You can't sing about underage drinking, taxis home from nightclubs etc forever. I get that. But this direction... nah. It does nothing for me. I'm a music ignoramus. I'm not a music critic. But I'd call this lounge music, or elevator music. It's the same pace all the way through. Alex is bordering on falsetto. Just horrible. What's most depressing is that 2 of my top five bands of the last 18 years (AM & Kasabian) are heading in musical directions that just don't do it for me. But ofcourse that makes space for new artists to quench the thirst.

But I didn't like their last album at all and the new one sounds the same to me. Bit of a shame.

My wishlist: KasabianThe National Brittney SpencerPommeDecemberists Also looking forward to Anais Mitchell in January and the 8 albums Taylor Swift is probably going to surprise drop. No Brittney album but an EP. Expecting a National announcement any day. Not complaining about only one Taylor album. How are your wishlists going?
