This short track was posted on the app today as a special Christmas present. You can download an mp3 of it here.

I like it, sounds like an intro to something big, like Stuntman or SBS. I feel a bit sorry for people who don't have the app though and can't listen to it.

Well, they can now. But I agree, it's kind of rude to have something special somewhere not everyone can access. They also announced the time being the same as the Queen's speech, once again forgetting that there might be one or two fans outside the UK. Of course anyone can easily google that like I did, but I feel like everything is an afterthought with them. What do you mean, some people don't have a smartphone? Wait, there are people who care about Jay leaving the band and we should make an announcement? Whyyyy?
Rant over. I'm excited about the track. Hope it's something we'll find on the album, I'll move the thread into the appropriate subforum if that's the case.

i feel a little disappointed i had hope for a date release or i dont know .. i'm a little bored of "big annoucement" resulting in micro pieces of "nobody knows what it is but it sounds great for a 12seconds thing" I try not to get my hopes up for anything these days, I was honestly expecting a short text or something, because the last time they announced that they'd post the G-Star music and then promised a "special surprise" and we got the Velociraptor retrospective essay instead. This time I thought if we're lucky it's a 10 second video of them saying Merry Christmas or something, so some actual music is quite nice. And I do think it's likely that it has something to do with the new album. All the previous tracks, like Shiva and the shark thing and whatever else there was, they were all quite random and the band wasn't actively working on new material when it was posted, so it was more like random leftovers. This feels a bit more like an actual teaser for what we can expect next year. At least I hope so!

I wonder which song this second one is from. BB can stand for Bumblebee like highroyds was saying earlier. But Explodes description fits is well too - synth-driven, computer game electronics and digital appregios.

I've heard these tracks before and they are really good. I wonder if 'Shiva' will be a track or no. Mostly not probable, but would love to hear that. Some Indian psychedelic is really good. Shiva was known for 'Tandav ', some kind of trance/dance, with heavy music which sends you nuts. EXCITEMENT LEVEL OVER 9000!!!!!!

Hidden amongst all the excitement is the fact that Gelfling has turned out to be a track on the Japanese edition of 48:13.
I'm very curious to hear it. Sounds very atmospheric based off of the clip.

According to wikipedia, Gelfling is 1:06 long which matches the length of the Soundcloud clip...so I don't know if that is the whole thing or not.

I've been wondering that about Gelfing but can't find any Japanese source with track lengths. Hope we'll find out more day after tomorrow.

Someone posted a picture of the sleeve and Gelfling is over 3 minutes long. Good to know, that little snippet would have been a bit disappointing as a bonus track. http://instagram.com/p/pV1TQhTKPn

It found its way online a few days ago. I had a listen while I don't have the Japanese edition yet.
