So I got this weird ass mail titled Kasabian Volume 6 2017 and the only thing in there is a blue teardrop.
Sender is - Kasabian@emails.sonymusicfans.com
Is this official or someone pulling a scam?

It is from the official source. You can check the original content of the email - the original sender is emails.sonymusicfans.com.
It doesn't explain the teardrop though...

But now I remember, the artwork on the latest Instagram video is kinda similar. A Jacket with the word 'detentions' written on it. Not sure yet though |

As pointed out by otherside in the album tidbits thread the album is up for pre-order on a Dutch Site. It pretty much confirms the album title "For Crying Out.. ..Loud" Dutch Deluxe Pre-OrderRelease date 28th April 2017 |

I got it too (I hope it's not the artwork though:P) If that being the artwork means Aitor Thorup doesn't work on the creative front, I am all cool with it 😂😂 But personally​, I feel it'll be a mix of artwork such as that with the text. The detentions jacket in the video is like a giveaway. At least that's what I feel. Funny how they presented the title of the album cryptically​ once again 😂😂😂 |

My understanding is that Aitor is not involved in this one. I like the cover, its not black and it'll look good on the bass drum - I have very low stardards about artwork now after Aitor. I bet Serge would also like that fact that people are not sure whether it's a teardrop or a raindrop, or like highroyds thinks, a testicle  |

Do you really think it could be the cover? I kind of said it as a joke but I guess after the pink monstrosity anything is possible. I really don't care what it looks like but they're going to get so much shit for it.

I find the reluctance to confirm the album title itself slightly odd. It's all #newmusic and #album6.
I was thinking back and the only album title I can remember finding out about via conventional press release method was Velociraptor!
I recall a website originally having a listing for "British Legion" in mid 2006 (with false song titles) and I found out about WRPLA via a poster on the official Kasabian forum. That was odd though. Fairly sure they were letting select posters hear it early in some way.

I remember hearing that West Ryder leaked (in parts?) because Tom was playing it to loads of people. No idea if it's true, but considering the label allegedly made them sit on the finished album for a while I can see them getting impatient.
I wonder if they know that For Crying Out Loud is on Amazon again. 48:13 title and cover leaked via Amazon and when we told HQ they immediately posted their own official announcement. How does this keep happening? Wouldn't Amazon have instructions not to publish these things before they're official? Does this happen with other bands?
