Just watched in on iplayer, unbelievably good set although I'm a bit surprised there were no new songs. Vlad was just like being at a gig. Stevie is so perfect, especially the reprise. Somehow I enjoyed the first album tracks most, ID was so so gorgeous. And the extra horns section sounded really lovely on PYLOI.

Gig was good though I'm not a massive fan of outdoor events. Was a bonus to get Put Your Life On It but I'm disappointed not to have got Wasted.
I still miss the likes of Reason is Treason and Cutt Off.
New songs all sounded really good live.
I think they're missing a trick not having Are You Looking for Action? after Treat.

If it were up to me they could lose Empire, Rewired and YILWAP from the current set. Play Wasted, Good Fight and something old instead. Not too keen on the Around the World thing either, I'd rather have Praise You.

Or, I know this may sound revolutionary, play more than 18 songs? They could easily pull a 25 song set now. |

Note that I said "if it were up to me" which I'm aware it isn't. Of course ideally they're playing for 3 hours and realistically they're not dropping any of the big hits. I was merely having some thoughts about what they could hypothetically make of the current set.

Imo most importantly drop treat cause it's too long and never bring back praise you please. Opinions can be so different  Agree with rewired. Somehow I think they might add something from velociraptor for italy because the tunes work perfectly there. |

I would love to see them add stuntman. shoot the runner can maybe be dropped.
Their catalog is filled with enough big tunes. Maybe rotate a few older hits here and there.
Processed Beats, cutt off, reason is treason would all work well.

The sound on this gig is great, new tunes sound really awesome. May be PYLOI lacks Serge in the chorus (no limit to my love part), but I guess it's just a part of the game where Serge does not sing his parts in some songs (like Switchblade Smiles in 2015, YILWAP not long time ago)
In my opinion, Eez-eh still can be easily dropped, as well as STR. Treat can get rid of outro maybe and flow into something else (shortened AYLFA?)

STR However, can fuck off for all I care, and I am happy to see that Fast Fuse is nowhere to be seen. Also, Drop ID and make it a rotation between RIT/CO/PB. |
