Tuesday's come and gone. One week with no announcement. Wasn't expecting this. I'm hoping for something by Friday but hope is running thin

It doesn't look like anything will happen with this song - last Friday was the most likely date for it to be released and it's such a shame we have no idea what's going on and whether we'll ever have it.
The same story with the album - soon after the Q announcement about autumn the band already knew that it's not happening this year, but again, there was no communication with the fans. People are planning holidays, taking or not taking time off work based on their cryptic hints and announcements - they could just post a short tweet saying bear with us, we'll be back next spring or whatever. I don't mind waiting for the album at all, if they need more time, I'm fine, I know we'll have a beautiful album after all, it's just all the random snippets from the studio they posted on twitter, the Q article, and their recent social media images with the CK lyrics created a completely different picture that it's coming out soon and it's misleading.

We just got an official update. None of what NME wrote came from the band. Unfortunately there are no news regarding release dates, but we didn't really expect to be told anything. Our impression is that CK won't be out for now, but there might be some news soon.

In case any of you is looking for it, I found a pretty decent MP3 on VK and uploaded it to OneDrive. Here it is. I'll try to rip the song in better quality directly from FIFA 17 this Friday and keep you guys posted. Now just help me figure out the god damn lyrics. I hope this doesn't break the rules as it is unlikely they will ever officially release this.

Comeback Kid comes out as a single on Friday and we find it because we keep refreshing itunes and spotify 2. Comeback Kid is randomly released on Friday on Spotify on its own, not as a single 3. Comeback Kid is not released anywhere except on FIFA 4. Comeback Kid is released both as a single and on the album 5. Comeback Kid is released as a single but is not on the album 6. Comeback Kid is not released as a single but is on the album 7. Kasabian actually announce a single before Friday 8. Kasabian actually announce anything (the least likely option) 9. Comeback Kid is somehow made accessible to the fans in a form other than a leak 9. The album is released this Autumn (according to Q) 10. The album is released next year (according to NME) 11.
