No support band has been announced yet for this one? Could this mean no support band?

No support band has been announced yet for this one? Could this mean no support band? Very possible. There's often no support for small European gigs. Sometimes they just don't announce it, but it said Kasabian + support on the Groningen ticket from the beginning, so I guess there isn't one.

Are you coming to this one jayfreeman? Someone mentioned there is a support after all, but I don't know who it is.

Probably some random band they found in the last minute, in these kind of gigs it's often like that isn't it?

The Afterveins are supporting, they were announced a few weeks ago. But indeed - seems like a bit of a random local band...

Venue staff more unprepared and useless than Backstage Munich. Not recommended. Stage is really close and high. We'll probably see Serge but just because he's tall.

Singer of the support band just threw an open bottle of water at us and then tried to crowdsurf.

Hah, sounds charming. So, selist? Same as Groningen, except People Are Strange was even more beautiful. They have a new walk on intro, no idea what it is, sounds scary. Tom mentioned BB King in Vlad at both gigs. In Utrecht there was some kind of "20th Century Fox presents..." old timey announcement to start the encore. At both gigs they introduced a song as a new song that wasn't a new song. Probably reading the forum and taking the piss because some people were hoping for a new one. These were practically glorified rehearsals for Werchter, I'm not surprised they didn't whip out all the rarities Tivoli is an appalling venue. We queued from around 12 I think, very organised, numbered ourselves so we knew who the first 20 people or so were. After finally deciding how many doors they were going to open, staff put a sign up saying doors 7:30. Eventually it was 7:45. They didn't check our tickets at the door, they let us run in through the entrance hall towards a big staircase. There two confused young girls checked the tickets. Some people simply ran past without getting it scanned, nobody did anything about it. We had to run across the entire upstairs gallery, then there was another staircase, and finally the venue. We were originally 8th in the queue, we got one of the last spots at the barrier. Security was one lonely man in a three piece suit who got upset when he had beer thrown on him. At some point there was a crowdsurfer coming over and I got really scared because he wouldn't have known what to do, luckily they dropped him. The gig itself was wonderful though. Great atmosphere, the band loved it, Tom said it's a shame it's not being filmed because "it's one of those moments."
