Nice idea. They would be playing anniversaries all year then for all the crazy people. They should have played a 6th Brixton for you and highroyds on Dec 7th starting at 11 am so you wouldn't have queued all day with a cold. I'm so glad 6th brixton never happened because we were so tired and ill that day that I wouldn't have approached the window even if Kasabian were playing the doberman in my driveway. I'd be all 'come back in 2 months'. I stayed in pyjamas for 24 hours and we reheated and ate the same pizza for breakfast. lunch and dinner. Still so pleased that I did it lol. But they should totally do anniversary gigs. we can get them a little calendar with all the memorable dates and setlist wishes

we reheated and ate the same pizza for breakfast. lunch and dinner. I repressed that memory somehow. I know I took a selfie the morning after to document how I felt, because I looked exactly like that. Then I flew home on Monday and was like aw shit I miss them.

I cancelled my trip to Budapest to see Kasabian at Sziget festival. Also I can't sell my ticket because paypal is blocked. Worst summer ever!

What really really pissed me off is Foals are playing a small gig in Kingston which is just down road from me and I'm seeing U2 that night.I did consider selling the u2 ones but after waiting a long time to see them I thought na ,Foals will be doing more shows soon.

Hearing that Sam Smith has recorded the song for the new James Bond film Spectre. It so should have gone to Kasabian. My friend went to the Bond Press Launch last year and there was so much talk about the next song being more "rock", wanting it to be the next "Live & Let Die" I'd told him that Serge had said he wanted to do a Bond soundtrack so he asked people about it and they were interested.
What's even more annoying is that Sam Smith said it only took him "20 minutes" to write the theme. You know that if it had gone to Serge, he would have spent time on it.

I always thought Stevie would make such a great Bond theme.

They don't even like Bond that much, I doubt it's something they're dying to do. And Stevie is way too good for that.
I think as a songwriter Serge is still very underrated. They might headline Glasto, sell out arenas and have #1 albums, but the majority of people still only see the type of fans they attract and the big football chant-like singalongs. Sam Smith is inoffensive and less of a risk. If they announced that Serge is writing a Bond song now there would probably be a bit of an outcry because the general public still doesn't know that he writes songs like Fairy or Acid Turkish Bath. They think of the LSF-Fire-lalala stuff and be like, how dare he. I suppose it's not very well known that he scored LB either because nobody thought it was necessary to promote or release that soundtrack.
Maybe if Idris ends up being the next Bond, by overwhelming public demand, we'll get the Bond song before we get their stupid Christmas song.

I think it's very calculated. They're not relevant right now, they didn't release anything in the past year, the tour is over, they have nothing to promote. No point in turning up to be photographed. Maybe I'm too cynical, but that's how it goes, isn't it? One year they weren't even eligible for a best live nomination because according to Q "they didn't tour", which wasn't true at all.

lol how can Ed Sheeran be the best act in the world I know! It's Madness. It's as if the readers think they can't nominate Kasabian because they've not released an album or single or done a "proper" tour this year. They were still the best live act this year, as V & their Scottish gigs proved.
