The same with me - loved everything till Black Holes but couldn't get into Resistance and The 2nd Law at all. Origin must be my favourite album of them, I wish they'd release something like that again. |

We both love it here,and when my daughter heard it she recognised some of it from Stockholm syndrome on the Wembley Stadium 2007 show.And she's right.Im really looking forward to Drones and even though I said I wouldn't see them on the next tour hearing the new track has changed all that.

Sounding like Stockholm Syndrome can be only a good thing. Reminds me of Uprising a lot too, which I love.

I used to be a massive fan of Muse, saw them about 35 times between 2003 and 2013. During their last tour I became SO bored of their live act, far too polished, far too predictable.
I wondered if the fantastic setlists (and they really were amazing) they've recently played would rekindle my interest. Nope, it's well and truly gone. I'm very happy for all my friends who went to some/all of the recent gigs though, they got some proper rarities at every one.
As for this new single, wow, what a load of rubbish.

I watched one of their recent gigs on TV a few months ago and I finally got what you mean about the set being polished and like you were saying, a Broadway musical. I mean it was still great but if you've seen Kasabian and Serge jumping like mad during Vlad, that polished set won't be your thing I guess. I quite like the new single, really looking forwards to see what's the rest of the album is like |
