Been trying to get something on the go on Tumblr. Are tagging problems a site-wide issue or is it just me?
For example, say I've got five posts with a tag. If I click on a tag, to bring up the tagged posts page, it'll display maybe two or three it seems. At random too, because it's different each time. I'm relying on those tags working for a certain feature, so it's a nightmare!

Are you looking at a specific tag on your blog or the whole of Tumblr? I've never had problems with tags on my blog, but sometimes posts don't show up in the global tag search.

Yeah, on my blog. It should list say five but I'll only get a few. Bit odd!
Tumblr's not exactly novice friendly I've found, but I'm getting there.

I remember trying to join Tumblr and thinking it wasn't very user friendly.

Nevermind user friendly, the Kasabian fandom on Tumblr is not very friendly. I always feel like it brings out a side in people that's not very representative. It's extremely convenient if you run a multimedia blog like we do, but you can't have conversations with people, the format is very messy.

I've always found the online presence around the band quite unique in the modern era. The official website for example, has a bizarre lack of updates. There's never been any serious sort of news angle to their postings. Like the site today reads "HMV gig next week". It's finished and there's no paragraph on what happened, for example.
The Twitter account is a little better but the tone of posting is a little off too. Often it seems overwhelmed and uninformed. It's got the feel of an unsigned band on their first UK tour.
The blog attached to this site has been the only serious place to get regular news and updates since I can't remember when. I mean this with no offence to you guys, but there is no other band who've had three (likely four) #1 albums and a Glasto headline slot in a fortnight that would let that happen. In 2014, it's very strange. In this very forum, a person from Belarus can get ticket information on seeing them next month. The official site hasn't even acknowledged the gig. What on earth is going on!
I've heard that Tumblr's a bit of a rat's nest of weird fan-related behaviour, but I've luckily not encountered it yet with regards to Kasabian. There's really no online fan community of any size in this part of the world beyond the regular on this forum (to my knowledge). It always surprises me to see positive comments in other places across the internet. It feels like a secret still, at times. You'd think the fanbase online would be massive and organised in one area by now, but nope.
Is that a symptom of Kasabian's online presence? I think so.
When you look at some band's official websites you can't help but feel a little jealous.

So, I've been working on a little Kasabian tour date and setlist Tumblr page. Main reason was I felt that Setlist.FM, whilst superb, could be a little more interactive. Plumbing the data down into a niche site that's fan-led and less susceptible to vandalism and incorrect data just seemed right. Plus, it's my area of geek when it comes to band, now that the whole Paradise thing's died a spluttering death. So here it is. It's still due some refining here and there (the tags feature is a fucking nightmare) and additional info, but it's mostly good to go. Hopefully people will search, reblog and add memories to each individual gig listing. Have at it. kasabianontour.tumblr.com/

It's a great resource. I wanted to ask do have a rule when to include a snippet from a different song in the setlist? Like does it have to be performed at least certain times or once is enough?

I was trying out the tags again earlier and it's really odd. Often two posts with the EXACT same tag will simply not appear. What a hassle that is.

Because you can see only the first 5 tags if you're searching tumblr but you should be able to see all the tags within your blog
