Glad to see it's confirmed as a 10" to keep in line with all the other releases.

Anyone on here who has heard the album willing to do a first impressions review? Here, and some other posts in that thread. It's not very detailed because everyone else preferred to have a chat over listening to the music, which I wrote about here. But it's less than a month until the release, we'll most likely hear it before anyway, so it's practically a matter of days now.

Does anyone think they might yet do a deluxe cd etc.? Hopefully yes, I don't see why not because they've always done it. But it always comes a bit later, I seem to remember that the Velociraptor deluxe wasn't available for preorder until late August 2011, with the album being released mid-September.

The timeframe from announcement to album is a lot shorter this time around too. Under half the 3 months from Switchlade to Velociraptor! release.
The original 16th June date and vinyl pre-order being seperate from CD pre-order suggests a slightly frantic pace.
I wonder what they've got in the archive to add to a deluxe pre-order. The O2 DVD and Blu-Ray makes me think they won't add another gig to the package. They've not been a band for masses of b-sides these last three album cycles either.

It would be nice to have a DVD of the TCT 2013 or even HRC .Im going to hold off buying a deluxe one just incase they might do a signing so I can order that to enable me to get into the event.

I'd be happy to see a deluxe version again, just not at £180 like last time, something with a bit more content and a lot less price will do me very nicely

Why always the japanese people have one or two bonus tracks in all their albums?? I don´t understand!! I don´t live in Japan but I want to have a 48:13 with 15 tracks too.

It is not only Kasabian, the most bands have bonus tracks on their Japanese versions. It is probably because record labels established limits for album duration for Europe and USA, while Japan can take more. It has to do with mentality as well, American entertaiment for example is more about short and mixed things, while Japanese are more concentrated on one subject, like sakura watching or tea ceremony. And Europe is somewhere inbetween. So obviousely, longer albums for Japan do make sense. Once i have already ordered Japanese Velociraptor! for 3 bonus tracks, looks like i will have to do it again.

It's because records are very expensive in Japan, which means it's sometimes cheaper to have them imported from other countries. So the Japanese get bonus tracks as an incentive to buy them locally.
