Oh I see! I'd totally forgotten about that release. I assume it's got the Jacknife Lee mix too? No, it doesn't! It has only Reason is Treason.

Is it the radio edit like on the US promo?

I meant does it have Reason Is Treason Jacknife Lee remix like Paradise 3 does, or it's the album version? It was the remix and not the album version which was released on Paradise 3 and 4 (and which ended up as a hidden track on the album), that's why I thought your promo might have that too.

Pretty sure the single is the "remix" version. (In reality the album version is the remix, what we call the remix is the demo that was recorded in 2003)

The band wasn't happy with the result, they got in Jim Abbiss as a co-producer instead, and the only thing that's left from those sessions is RiT. While it was released on the single, it's not on all the promos, like I said above, the US promo has the radio edit of the album version. I wouldn't call the album version a remix either, it's simply another version.

Oh, my dear cuttoff, sorry I didn't get your question, I'm a bit tired! Yes, it is the Jacknife Lee remix, you're right! (just listened to it to be sure). "Rubicon, it's almost over..." how I LOVE this version!

Only the subject of Jacknife Lee material, isn't the 2003 NME version of Cutt Off from those sessions?
Also the FIFA 2004 L.S.F. and Processed Beats in the flag, I might be misremembering those as Lee stuff.

Hm it never crossed my mind about the NME Cutt Off but it might be, do you have any info at all about it? I know people always call PB in the flag (and Paradise 1 too) a Jacknife Lee version, but did we ever have a proof that it is his?

I think the Jacknife mix is universally preferred, to the point where people keep saying they should have kept him, but we don't know what it sounded like, we only know that they weren't happy. Chris said he was getting too involved. And the album turned out pretty decent without him. Only the subject of Jacknife Lee material, isn't the 2003 NME version of Cutt Off from those sessions? Also the FIFA 2004 L.S.F. and Processed Beats in the flag, I might be misremembering those as Lee stuff. I don't know about Cutt Off. If I remember correctly the other cuttoff once asked Ian about PB and he didn't know, which doesn't mean anything. It's only minimally different though, isn't it?

They should have kept the Jacknife mix on the album and live, but I'm glad they got rid of the actual Jacknife Lee. What if he was going to ruin the album. Is the NME Cutt Off is his too, I wasn't going to have a favourite song then.
Yes, I've asked Ian about PB but he didn't remember. I'm pretty sure that it's him drumming on that version too, idk whether it tells us anything timing-wise. I don't think they're hugely different, obviously the intro and the ending are different with all the weird noises on the demo, and I think it's not as sharp and crispy like the album version.

I was recently given this signed Paradise02 by someone who got it from Chris Karloff's dad. The story says that it was bitten by Tom...
