I highly doubt he would deliberately delay his own album to work on something else instead. I'm pretty sure the album is finished. Someone once said it takes about six months between finishing a record and releasing it, there are lots of other factors coming into play, like for example the label deciding it should be a summer record, physical copies have to be made, promo campaign... West Ryder was finished in December 2008 and not released until June either. I bet if it was possible they would put it out right this very second.

Loved him in "Luther" and "The Wire", of course!
He really is a very beautiful man and great actor. Not so sure about Rap, but that might be an interesting Christmas song.
