Chemicals live in Zagreb was out of this world. Is it yet another Kasabian song that sounds way better live? Almost every song since Velociraptor sounds better live imo. How do they achieve that? Chemicals is nice on the recording too to be fair but Scriptvre and alygatyr sound better live.

I'm not a music expert, does anyone know is it the production, the mixing what it is? The sound definitely changed when Serge started producing alone (with Tim, but without any outsiders.) I preferred how clear and rich West Ryder and Velociraptor were. But this is obviously how Serge wants it to sound. It's a bit of a shame about songs like PYLOI which would have benefitted massively from a Dan the Automator style production.

The production of these songs doesn't sound as dense as it has in the past. You can actually hear the layers again, instead of just pieces of them. It's still not as solid as Dan The Automator, but it's a lot better than anything since then.

I don't want to give any one producer all the credit here, in the end it's the band's decision what they put out, but with all my love for Serge and the thought of him just DIYing an entire album in his shed, I usually like the finished product better when they get someone else in.

It feels to me even if they recorded the album live it would more enjoyable. Does anyone know if Rob contributed in the studio versions? The difference obviously isn't the vocals or only the vocals, I just wonder, either way we will know about that soon.

Fraser is credited with some additional instruments, apart from him it seems to be only the band.
