Really liking this track. Has a Treat/Processed Beats vibe to it. Bring on May the 5th!

I don't understand how you can place this song before Ill Ray or Comeback Kid. I appreciate it, it smells summer and it's cool but it's not my favourite at all. I don't know, I prefer Kasabian in an other register and I miss Tom's voice.

I don't understand how singles work anymore. This was one, right? But CK wasn't really? It's just hanging out on Spotify? My wiki is a mess because I don't know what they're doing and everything is weird.

The problem I see is Spotify considering every new song as a single. Give a look at Muse on Spotify and you'll see they had 7 or 8 singles only on their latest album because they were releasing new songs every week.
I understand the only official single until now is Psycho. By the artwork, probably Action will be a single too, or they just dropped it as a single because the song would've leaked anyway for the RSD, but then the artwork wouldn't make sense.

My wiki is a mess because I don't know what they're doing and everything is weird. I could be dead wrong, but it kinda seems like they're doing the same thing they did with Velociraptor! Where there was actually like 5 or 6 singles in total, but only 3 or 4 "official" singles. From what I can tell, the only "official" single released off of this album is YILWAP. AYLFA is a "b-side" to that single (which just makes no sense to me at all but okay) and CK was released as a rough demo version for FIFA but people were so jazzed on it they released it as an "unofficial" single so they could rock it at live sets- as I'm sure they're about to do with ALYFA. Since there's been no studio release of PYLOI yet, I'm pretty sure we can take that out of the running as an official single too. It's looking like people are right about BTAH and IR being the next singles, but I have a feeling "Good Fight" is gonna be huge and at least played live, if not released as the "official" 4th single. Hope that all makes some kind of sense. I'm sure it does to Serge and Tom anyway ☺

Days, Re-Wired, GK and Simple Pleasures. Switchblade was released as a free download ahead of the album (probably because they were playing it early on and it was out there anyway) and was in fact going to be a proper single, but the label messed it up somehow and forgot to release it. That's the only odd thing I remember about Raptor singles. It was Serge who said Bless This Acid House is the second single, but who knows. I just want some b-sides. Surely he's got some crap lying around, or a cover, or he can take 5 minutes out of his glamorous life and record an acoustic song or something. There's no reason for anyone (except idiots like me) to buy their singles at all if it's just going to be the album tracks.

YILWAP is the first single, it's written on the t-shirt (the pink one they sold at the gigs).

I thought that when Veliciraptor! was coming out, Switchblade was supposed to be the first official single and Days wasn't even supposed to be one but the release got screwed up. Like I said, I could very easily be wrong. Hard to find correct info on anything about Kasabian here in the states

Hard to find correct info on anything about Kasabian here in the states Switchblade was straight up released as a free download with the preorder of the album. That was in June, when the tour started, they played it live a couple of times and then we got it. Days was always the first proper single. The song leaked a couple of days before the single release I think, but other than that it was pretty standard. Switchblade was meant to be the 5th single, after MoSP, which was a stupid idea to begin with because we all got it for free and it was like a year later, but they were definitely planning it. Promos were sent out with a release date on them, the date came and went and everyone was like "so this single..." to which HQ replied "what single?" and I think Ian eventually confirmed (privately) that the label messed it up.

Oh okay. Now that I think back on it, that does sound right. There was just a lot of confusion surrounding Switchblade. Well then yea, this is the most nonsense release schedule they have ever had. HQ needs to get its act together. Can't believe there is no first listen review online yet

Wish I were strong enough to resist temptation but I'm not. AMAZING song. Just holy hell. I mean, Treat will always be a great song but this one tops it with very little effort. More please I did feel this is the Treat for this album, but better.

Currently I'm listening to treat & Action one after the other trying to figure out what's cool about AYLFSA. treat is a proper explosion for me, not the new one (yet)
