They could do an acoustic tour with them and likes of British Legion. There's actually a great acoustic set on YouTube — where bumblebeee is surprisingly the star of the show I knew Bumblebeee would be perfect acoustically when it came out, and then it took ages until we got a decent recording, they only played Stevie everywhere. I still listen to the one from Mode all the time. The thing is, when they do acoustic sessions it's never something we can just buy a ticket for and see like a regular gig. It's always a special occasion, a radio session without an audience, something you can only win in a competition, or they announce it like 3 days before so people who don't live in the neighbourhood can't make it. I went to a Bon Jovi gig once and they did the first half acoustically, took a short break and then played a full electric set. It was awesome. I wish Kasabian would play a couple of gigs like that, if not a whole acoustic set. Small venues, announce it beforehand so those who don't like slow songs can stay home, people would be all over that.

The most Beatles sounding song they've made since La Fee Verte - and that is in no way a bad thing! I did not expect to love this song as much as I do but it is just so damn good. The almost hip-hop drums, the Paul McCartney bass licks, Tom's voice (especially when they take the reverb off), the church organ that comes in at the opportune moment and doesn't outstay its welcome, the way an electric guitar subtly enters the mix toward the end. And of course, those beautiful lyrics. Well played, boys. The Fab Four would be proud

When I read yesterday's article I suddenly thought of this song. I'm more sure than ever that it was written for Tom, even if Serge said otherwise. It's not just a cute little love song, it is for someone who is deeply unhappy, it makes perfect sense.
