Wow Velociraptor! is so expensive. I wonder whether people are aware that the first batch was misprinted and whether there is a price difference?

I just checked, they're on Amazon Germany too with the same release date. Wouldn't it be nice if they did this like Zeppelin, with lots of bonus material, instead of just releasing them again? I would pay so much for that. I wasn't aware they got so expensive either until I saw someone mention it on Reddit recently and started paying attention to it. Since 2009 I've been buying pretty much everything right when it was released, I got the West Ryder vinyl together with the not-the-real-Fast-Fuse-EP for a reasonable price and the debut album for an amazing £10 including shipping. The last two I got straight from Amazon when they first came out. The only one that took me a little while was Empire, but eventually I got it quite cheap as well, the problem was not even the price but that nobody seemed to be selling it when I was looking for it. I think they might be even more expensive at the moment because the new album is out, and especially with the Glasto/Leicester hype suddenly everyone cares about Kasabian again. cuttoff I don't think anyone really knows about the misprint. People still can't tell the two Processed Beats flags apart and it's only been 11 years.

That's mental, price wise.
I think I got that same West Ryder/iffy Fast Fuse deal from whatever that website was again, Highroyds.
I bought Kasabian and Empire around that time too. My copy of the debut's a little tattered but I always missed it's delivery whilst moving flats, so it's a survivor. Velociraptor! and 48:13 came on release day too.
Empire is maybe the best looking vinyl. If I recall, the lettering is nice and slightly raised. I always wanted that Empire boxset for the three singles.
As for re-releases, I don't think I'll bother, unless they've got anything new on them. I would imagine they'd have been touted a bit more if they did, but Japan and Germany got the details jump on 48:13 too, so...
I know some bands have phantom song titles, and holy grails, but Kasabian have always been quite efficient with their songwriting (that we know of). I'm positive I read that Serge literally wrote Velociraptor!, Pistols at Dawn and Narcotic Farm, and there absolutely nothing else to release.
I'd say a recorded version of 55 would be amazing. That's all I can think of beside a proper copy of Stuntman 2005 (Call it "The Stuntman", like back in the day!) and perhaps some 2005 demos of Empire, Shoot the Runner etc.
An extra double sided b-sides record to people to pre-order all four would be a nice touch, but maybe I shouldn't give them ideas.

He never mentioned Narcotic Farm together with it and I always assumed it was not written together with the bulk of the album because it already appeared in London Boulevard in 2010. But the Fairy already existed in some form around February 2010 and he started demoing the first songs in May, so who knows. The only phantom songs they have are most of these, I guess. The studio version of 55 would be great to have. An extra double sided b-sides record to people to pre-order all four would be a nice touch, but maybe I shouldn't give them ideas. I think you should. Black Whistler and Narcotic Farm never came out on vinyl and I want them.

Reminds me. I still haven't got a physical copy of Narcotic Farm...
Is the Italian EP cheap these days?

I vote for studio version of 55 (maybe it'll make me really love that song finally), all the b-sides, Brixton 2004, an Empire era live recording, the version of Take Aim that was going to be on the Fast Fuse EP, and any other studio outtakes, rough mixes and drum tracks they feel like including. *dreams on*. Like highroyds was saying, the way Zeppelin did was the best, with new artwork, pics and tonnes of unreleased stuff. It's not even phantom songs, it's mainly the songs we know, but just live versions and various mixes. Having said all this, if they have a paradise number, I'll end up buying them.

Talking about prices, once i saw "Me plus one" on Amazon.co.uk for 2100 euro (or pound i am not sure). It was sold within 3 days after i found it. So 100 euro for Velociraptor! seems fair;)

Wow Velociraptor! is so expensive. I wonder whether people are aware that the first batch was misprinted and whether there is a price difference? There is a reference to the labels not matching the song titles on the Discogs entry page, so the information is out there. Does anyone here own the first pressing (the misprinted one)? I must admit I have one, was quite fortunate to grab one, one of my local record stores had only one copy and I managed to grab all those years ago. Back to the re-issues. Unless there's something considerably different with them, I've not really got a reason to buy them again, the one's i've got are all in excellent condition, still sound and look great.

I have a misprinted copy too, that's how I discovered it a few days after it was released. For the first couple of times I just listened to everything and didn't realise there is something wrong. Then I wanted to play Acid Turkish Bath and was sure it's the first track on side C (because Serge had mentioned it being a good song 'to flip the record over;) and it wasn't. First I thought I'm drunk and can't tell the songs apart because it was a few days after the release and nobody had mentioned anything. Even the band didn't know about it - I believe I'm the first person to alert them about it. I bought another copy from the same batch from the same record store the next day - it's still sealed but I assume it's misprinted too. What I'm a bit confused about what happened to the second batch? Are the songs still arranged as in the first batch but the labels are correct? I think they fixed the I Hear Voice/Re-Wired mistake though which looked like this.

What I'm a bit confused about what happened to the second batch? Are the songs still arranged as in the first batch but the labels are correct? I believe I checked the record that came with the box... but I can't remember. I don't think the order of the songs was changed because that's what I wrote on the wiki. I don't know, does the box vinyl count as part of the second batch? It's the same record in a different sleeve. It's probably easier to fix a label than to press loads of records again. I felt really bad about it because Serge talked so much about how important tracklistings are to him and that Acid Turkish Bath needs to start the second half of the album. Wasn't there something going on at the time, people who had preordered the vinyl were told there was a delay and got it later? Or record stores were told to hold it back? I got mine from Amazon and it's the wrong one as well. Maybe Germany didn't care as much, or they had already sent them out because it was released earlier here. Talking about prices, once i saw "Me plus one" on Amazon.co.uk for 2100 euro (or pound i am not sure). It was sold within 3 days after i found it. So 100 euro for Velociraptor! seems fair;) That's way way way too much for the Me Plus One single.
