Any live version would be good to hear. I was really surprised it didn't make an appearance on the album tour.

The tour isn't over, they might play it next year. Tim sounded quite sure. I don't want to get all "but Tim promised!!!" because he didn't say when, he was just asking about my favourite songs and I said from the new album I really love Doomsday, and he said "It's coming." Which sounds to me like they have probably rehearsed it. It wasn't like a maybe-possibly-you-never-know sort of thing. It would surprise me if they didn't play it on this tour.

I hope so, highroyds. I love it on the album but I just think it would be incredible live.

Popped on 48:13 today for my first full run-through in ages.
Never really thought all that much about the placement of doomsday on the album, but something clicked today. It's a good contrast from (levitation), which of course features Serge's grandfather taking a moment to contemplate the end.
Then, bang. We get the frenetic energy of doomsday, with Tom embodying the arrogance of youth. The end is so far away and I haven't got the inclination to even think about it.
It's quite obvious, now I think about it, but it never quite appeared to me until now.

Doomsday is the most Kasabian song on 48:13
