Decent. A good opener for the next year then!

Can't wait for the studio version! For those who have listened, is it better than the live one? I'm yet to hear it in the flesh live, but on first impression from Jools vs Album, I felt the album version packed a lot more punch (could have just been the speakers at Abbey Road or the mixing from the BBC). It felt a lot heavier and sleazier to me... And the chorus is REALLY buried in the sound, which I much preferred to the live version... It's almost like Serge's voice is pushing through this massive wall of noise to get these lyrics heard. It's wicked.

Serge did refer to it having a mood like Led Zeppelin and RATM. But in the chorus. So I think no. I don't mean the mood or general sound, I mean the lyrics. We know they're influenced by Zeppelin so it's not exactly obscure, Zeppelin have a song about their fans in which they refer to them as an ocean, Bumblebeee is supposedly about the fans, "can't get enough of the ocean", there is sunshine and moonlight in both songs, I think it's far more likely than Psycheground. You're pulling my leg on the Psycheground thingy. Nonetheless, you could be right. As long as it's good, no one bothers!

I prefer it without the backing singers. It sounds less muddy, you can actually hear Serge.

I think the reason there wasn't the buzzing sound in live versions could be due to the fact that Pizzorno was playing the guitar, and not that kit/synthesizer thing he used during Eez-eh

I was thinking that (shiva) might be the intro tape they're using on this wee mini tour? Anyone able to confirm?

In Paris it was just one very long sound somehow, not Shiva.

I think it was the same in Ireland and Scotland, it's one long note then it gets a bit higher and higher and merges into Bumblebee, it's too short and indistinct to say anything about it.

I would love it if the songs were to merge during album play. The same thing happened with Kasabian Japan Edition I guess, many of the songs used to merge one after the other which was beautiful
