What are everyone's favourite live versions of any (or all) songs?
I was just listening to Butcher Blues from Leicester University 2006 and remembered that it's probably my favourite. That or the acoustic one from CFOX in 2005.

Acoustic Butcher Blues is so pretty. I can go on for hours about my favourite versions but if I had to choose one performance it would be this. It blows my mind, every time, it's just perfect. Tom's voice, the drums, the outro on acoustic guitar, everything.

Sun Rise Light Flies from Dublin Castle 2007 show is amazing. This is the very song i particulary want to hear live! Until know my favourite live song has to be Where Did All The Love Go? from Amsterdam Paradiso at june 2013 (see a part of it below). Or Reason is Treason from the same gig.

Ok so i think that it's time for me to make my shamefull confession : i know that everyone adore Reason is treason but it has to be THE one song i really don't like. i listened to it a thousand time trying to figure out how i could dislike it whereas it's kind of typical kasabian .. still have no answer haha
for the favourite live version i have a special love for Empire at T in the park 2007. Tom sounds great, the crowd sounds amazing, i love the energy (and in the video the face Tom makes when he realises the enthousiasm of the crowd is the cutest thing ever)

Paradiso seems such a beautiful venue, jayfreeman, I've never been there and would love to see them there. Paradiso 2010 bootleg is amazing, my favourite Processed Beats is from there.

Yes, it really is! I had a lot of doubts about Paradiso before the concert, because it is an old church, a small venue for 1500 people, what kind of acoustics can you expect there? A lot of people were talking about special athmosphere there, but it does not mean anything until you experience it. Contact with the audience is just perfect, you feel the electricity. So now i also understand why a lot of bands love to play there. For example a couple of months before The Smashing Pumpkins had a gig there, who are pretty much a stadion band to me. You could really see how guys were enjoying the concert, expecially Tom, who wasn't hold back by any instruments;)

This must be my favourite Fairy. It was only the second time they played it, and no recording exists of the first. Excuse the singing in the beginning, it wasn't me.
The one with the blackout in Liverpool was great as well, but that was more of a fun visual thing, and I loved the one at the last gig of 2012 in Brussels, because Serge didn't sing the high bits but let the crowd sing, and it sounded so beautiful.

Velociraptor! from the plane gig for me, Everything is insane, Serge's guitar tone is perfect (before it turned meh after the guitar switch) and are tom's vocals!! Simply insane peformance.

I love this acoustic version of "Where did all the love go". That's the one where Tom complains about Ian's tempo. I have no idea how many times I have watched this.
